From the South, exit the M74 at junction 4. Follow signs for Glasgow centre (M8). Continue on the M8 to Greenock and follow signs to Gourock (27 miles from Glasgow). Dunoon is served by 2 ferry links - take either Western Ferries or Caledonian MacBrayne at Gourock for a 20 minute crossing. Upon disembarking from the ferry, turn right and follow the shore road all the way to Toward. Jan's studio is the Old Smiddy - the left-most cottage on the right hand side of the road, just before you reach Toward Sailing Club (on the left).
